Practise safe sex, says Chua ?

Practise safe sex and be faithful to your partner.

Health Minister Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek gave this advice in view of the rising number of HIV infections in the country due to unsafe sexual practices.

“Abstinence is still the best way. And be faithful to your partner,” he told reporters after opening the First National AIDS Conference and launching the national-level World AIDS Day.

"I am the man in the tape," said Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek, the Health Minister and MCA vice-president, as he admitted to be the person captured on a videotape while engaging in sexual acts with a woman friend.

Dr Chua, who is also Johor MCA chairman.

Dr Chua Soi Lek's wife, Datin Seri Wong Sek Hin, said her husband had apologised to her and his family over his affair with a woman.

"It is a difficult time for all of us but we have accepted his regret and apology," she told Bernama.
